Quote Of The Day:

“Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us, and the world will be as one.” John Lennon
Who doesn’t love The Beatles? At some point in our musical life we will discover them even if we weren’t there when they debuted in the 60’s. It is inevitable, if you love music, somewhere along your musical path, you will “discover” them.

At the beginning of every new teaching term I always look for songs with great harmonies to teach my group classes. Needless to say, The Beatles repetoire is one I draw from often. I also look for new tools to help my students learn their parts. Often I will record the parts myself, isolate them or highlight them over the melody and email them out. Recently, I have found an amazing Italian musician named, Galeazzo Frudua who is an Italian luthier, Beatles expert, bass, guitar and amplifier builder and guitar making teacher. He breaks down all the vocals for many Beatles tunes and does a great job of video recording them to explain them and how they work with each other. I really enjoy this way of learning and hope that when you are ready to learn your next Beatles song, you’ll check him out and maybe even donate to his website so he can continue to do more. I pay for each one I use and it feels good to contribute to someone who makes my job so much easier and helps my students learn their parts faster.

Until next time,

Breathe… and Happy (Beatles) Singing
