For the last four years I have had the privilege of being the vocal coach on faculty for the Peak Performance Project in BC. It is with bittersweet emotion I say farewell to this amazing program for up and coming bands as this was the last year of seven. The Peak Performance Project was the brainchild of creative team, Bob D’eith, Tamara Stanners and Quinn Best. After the application process, those chosen were put through the rigours of what they would be judged on: performances, raising money for charity, making a business plan and excelling at Boot Camp in Princeton, to name a few. It quickly grew to be the most coveted contest in British Columbia, if not Canada with top prize exceeding $100,000.00. Thank you to Pattison Broadcasting for financially supporting this project.
The finale concert is this Thursday, Nov. 19th at the iconic Commodore Ballroom in downtown Vancouver. All three finalists are bands who have already been through the contest having a major advantage going in by using what they learned the first time. This will be an exciting night for everyone who has been a part of seven great years of supporting Canada’s brightest musical stars.
Best of luck to the contenders. Check them out :
